"My wife already had Japanese citizenship, and her parents were living here too. Before this, both of us worked in the tourism industry, and our company’s headquarters was in Japan. Because of her career and family ties, she had to stay in Japan. To avoid being separated for a long time, I decided to come work in Japan as well. Another big reason was that salaries here were much higher than what I could earn back home in Northeast China."
